There has never been a Wolf refrigerator, which is worth saying plainly because so many La Jolla kitchens pair a Wolf range with Sub-Zero refrigeration that owners reasonably assume one machine is the other's sibling in more than ownership. The fault list is short and most of it finishes in one visit: an igniter or spark module behind a burner that clicks without lighting, a burner cap seated a millimeter proud, and an oven sensor that has drifted while the control obeys it faithfully.
The coastal version of the ignition fault is worth recognizing before you call anybody. After a saturated gray morning in a kitchen left open to the ocean air — which describes a great many houses in the Shores, around Windansea and through Bird Rock — a surface burner will click and click without catching simply because the cap and the electrode are damp. Dry them and it lights. If it still clicks with everything dry, or if a burner will light off the flame of its neighbor but never on its own spark, that is the module or the electrode, and it is a part rather than a mystery.
