The ice machine in the terrace bar had been getting slower all summer and we blamed the parties. He pulled the grille and the coil was corroded and matted. Cleaned it, checked the water side and the filter, full cubes again. Said to have it looked at before summer next time.

Frost kept coming back on the freezer wall a week after I cleared it. Two other companies had been out and both wanted to fit a defrost heater. He measured the door instead and the heavy panel had dragged it out of square at the bottom. Hinge adjusted, no frost since.

The oven took longer and longer to light and then one morning it just didn't, and I had already started pricing a new range. He said the igniter still glows but stops drawing enough current to open the gas valve, which is apparently the usual one on a Viking. Lit first time after.
