Why is my wine cooler not holding temperature?
Short answer
On wine storage a two-degree drift is a fault, not a tolerance. If one zone holds and the other climbs, that zone's evaporator, fan or damper has failed and the compressor is fine. If the display reads correctly but the bottles are warm, the sensor is reporting from the wrong place or air is not circulating past the racks — which is why we measure at bottle level rather than trusting the panel.
