Why is my Sub-Zero refrigerator not cooling?
Short answer
A Sub-Zero refrigerator that is warm while the freezer stays cold is almost never a failed compressor. These units run two separate sealed systems, so a working freezer proves one system is healthy; what has failed sits on the refrigerator side — the evaporator fan, a defrost fault icing the coil, or the damper that meters air between the compartments. All three are ordinary parts and usually a same-visit repair.
